FOR RACHEL: Who died earlier today... someone who will be greatly missed. I will miss her. This is just a few thoughts that I wanted to capture just in case I needed to say something. Hoping that I wouldn't sound stupid.

Dedicating this to Rachel, she passed away Monday... about mid-day.

She is one of the most dedicated people I know, but I do not just mean dedication for the events for APO, but dedication for the values of Alpha Phi Omega, and how she lived them in her everyday life. These values are: Leadership, Friendship and Service... the heart and soul of APO.
o Friendship, The Foundation For Everything - Rachel was everyone's friend. Not one person could deny that. She was always there for any of her friends. Whatever they needed. She was always willing to go that extra mile.
o Leadership, To Stand Out In The Crowd - By taking up the challenge to sponsor a "wish kid". {Pause and shake head} Rachel had the plan in motion before she even talked to the chapter. All the details were gathered and she had things lined-up ready to get it all done. Everything was planned out. Seeing this as a volunteer while she was going to school, really makes you wonder? did she actually go to class? How could she get all of this done? Because she was a leader? yeah, she was always worried about something. I could see it in her face when she talked with me wondering if we're going to pull this event off. I always tried to re-assure her, but... you know how she was.
o Service, being selfless enough to give your time, even the little amount you might have - Without a doubt, her heart was in the right place. She absolutely loved helping people. She never slacked on helping anyone. Out of the 19 years she was here, she gave a majority of it to others. If there were more people in the world like Rachel... we wouldn't have any problems.

We are all very proud of her and what she did while she was here. Being my new role model, I now realize how much she truly touched my life. I just hope I can take up where she left-off and make her proud of me like I am of her. Take care Rachel.... I hope to see you again.
